Waterproof and floating: the polyethylene rope
Resistant to UV, moisture, sea salt and chemicals, the polyethylene rope absorbs shocks and is highly resistant to loads. Like nylon, polyethylene rope is mainly used in boating for mooring. It can also be used for lifting, pulling and towing.
What is the difference between nylon and polyethylene ropes?
Nylon is more resistant to loads thanks to its high flexibility. Its high elongation allows it to better absorb shocks. It has twice the breaking strength of polyethylene.
In addition to its buoyancy, polyethylene is particularly rigid and resistant to corrosion.
